***As a reminder, this is the skills portion of the certification. You MUST complete the online portion of the class PRIOR to your skills check. You must bring in the certificate of completion to prove you completed the course and be issued a certificate.

The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS provider course covers a range of topics including 1-rescuer and 2-rescuer adult BLS, AED and bag-mask device use, special considerations such as rescue breathing and opioid-associated emergencies, high-performance teams, child and infant BLS, and choking relief. The course involves practical skills training, covering areas like chest compressions, giving breaths, and proper techniques for different age groups. Students who complete this course are issued a BLS Provider card with a recommended renewal of 2-years from the date of the class.  

*This is the skills portion of the certification. The online HeartCode must be completed prior to this class, which can be purchased here by adding it to the cart or directly from the AHA. A completion certificate is required at the start of the skills check to be eligible for certification.

The American Heart Association’s core Heartsaver classroom courses, for those with little or no medical training, include Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver CPR AED and Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED. These videobased, Instructor-led courses teach participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over. Depending on the course, participants learn how to recognize, respond to and treat a variety of first aid emergencies, and perform CPR and use an AED in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.This classroom course teaches basic CPR skills such as performing a head tilt-chin lift and giving compressions and breaths, as well as the use of an AED. The course provides training for anyone who wants to learn basic CPR and obtain a Heartsaver course completion card.

The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR/AED course, is for those with little or no medical training. The course teaches basic CPR skills such as giving compressions and breaths, as well as the use of an AED.This is an American Heart Association CPR, AED course. THIS COURSE WILL INCLUDE WHAT TO DO IN CHOKING EMERGENCIES. It will also satisfy the Massachusetts regulation for resturants.  The instructors are AHA certified and teach to AHA standards. The instructors are also Firefigher/EMTS so the classes are very informative. Once completed the completion card is good for 2 years.

Safe Sitter is not just a class. It is a cause. The only national training program devoted to preparing young pre-teens and teens to be safe in unsupervised settings, whether home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. We provide medically accurate developmentally-appropriate and regularly updated curriculum. Safe Sitter 1 day with CPR is a 6.5hr curriculum that includes CPR. The business sections are condensed to include infant and child CPR. It also includes Childcare essentials, safety for the sitter, injury management (first aid), preventing problem behavior and care of the Choking infant and Child. The child must be at least 11 years old to attend this course.
